Roots
Foundations of Curiosity
At my core, I’m driven by curiosity: why values become rules, how rules shape behavior, and how thoughtfully designed experiences can guide learning and reflection. Studying philosophy, cognitive science, and art taught me to explore ethical systems, human decision-making, and creative expression. Over time, this curiosity evolved into a passion for designing tools, toys, and environments that help people engage, adapt, and grow.

Growing Systems Through Design
I began my career shaping interactive worlds at LucasArts, where rules and feedback loops became learning experiences for players. Over the years, I moved from creating individual artifacts to leading product and platform design at companies including Apple, MTV/Nickelodeon, Amazon, and Sony PlayStation.
I focus on systems that thrive over time: products and platforms that combine user-centered design, learning loops, and data-informed decisions without constraining creativity. Across social, mobile, and learning experiences, my work has consistently prioritized human needs—curiosity, mastery, connection, and meaning—while enabling measurable engagement and commercial outcomes.

Impact and Community
I’ve led teams that design and launch award-winning, globally scaled products, from zero-to-one innovations like iBooks Author to LEGO’s Creative Play Lab. I mentor, teach, and build communities of practice—sharing knowledge through The Product School, PlayStation mentorship programs, LEGO innovation teams, and open innovation fellowships.

I believe the strongest systems are both responsible and playful, evolving with users and enabling exploration. Outside work, I nurture curiosity and creativity in life—gardening, exploring art, reading, and skiing—always looking for new inspiration to bring back to design.
